Launceston Family Photoshoot Locations - Bridport Beach

I have a real love/hate relationship with any beach shoot.

They can be God. Damn. Magical. IF you’re hitting that golden hour as the sun is setting (or rising but I aint getting up that early to photograph anyone!) but if you want a shoot at pretty much any other time of day it’s trash.

The only exception is if you have a day with cloud cover! During the day at the beach there’s very little shade, which can lead to not only harsh shadows but super squinty subjects in your photos!

For this reason I normally recommend the evening beach session for families with older children (or families with no children!)

I really love Bridport, it’s where Matt was living when we first met, so it has a really soft spot in my heart and although I don’t shoot there often, the images when I do shoot there are always amazing!
