The Suponok Family - Maternity Session at The Tamar Marine Walking track

I was really excited to photograph Kristy and Jem and their 2 girls, Alice and Ivy before Kristy gave birth to their newest edition! We had originally planned to do this shoot at the Riverbend park, but the day before Kristy contacted me expressing concern that the girls would only want to play on the playground so we decided to move to the other side of the river and wander along the track between Tamar Marine and the Tailrace.

The girls were full of beans and wanted to run everywhere. They were super excited to be big sisters and can’t wait to meet baby Ruby.

Alice and Ivy were great helpers when it came to posing Mum for some solo shots! I always say that my photography sessions are very natural and candid, I don’t like to pose families, but rather put them in situations and ask them to do things that will naturally look good! BUT maternity and newborn photography is the exception to that rule, with Maternity it’s easy to feel giant sized, you’re growing an actual human so I want to make sure you’re in the most flattering poses as possible, and I don’t want to leave that up to chance!

Maternity sessions are extra fun with older children and while it may be a little chaotic it’s totally worth it and the time I spent with these guys was full of giggles and I had the best time with them!
