Jayde, Zayden & Zarmaliya - Family Portrait Photography Session by the River in St. Leonards, Tasmania

Occasionally I have families come to me because a friend has referred them to me. I honestly can’t think of a better compliment than someone seeing photographs of your family and thinking “I want that”, but this was the case with Jayde, a friend of hers Emily, had just gone through the portrait experience with me and Jayde decided to book a shoot with her two kiddos Zayden and Zarmaliya.

They chose to do their portrait session down by the river (which was flowing super high!!) in St Leonards

Jayde knew that she wanted her portraits in black and white, to match what she already had hanging in her home.

I normally shoot in colour, mainly because my Dad is a black and white photographer and back when I was still learning, and trying to find my own style I wanted to do something different to my Dad. These days I’m much more comfortable within my own style and skills I don’t mind shooting black and white!

Jayde ordered this amazing strip Icemount. I always ask my clients to send me a photo once they have their images up on the walls in their home (it’s honestly one of my favourite parts!), it’s not often that I get an email less than 3 hours after they’ve been picked up, but Jayde was straight on hanging her Icemount!
