The Hayes Family - Newborn Session in the Studio

I don’t often photograph families in the studio, and when I do, it’s only because there’s a newborn involved! Kyra brought in baby Mason, along with her two older daughters Laura and Kelsey to be photographed. Kyra was having a hands and feet casting made of Mason which will match the ones she had done of the girls when they were newborns and she wanted an image that matched the girls.

In between feeds I was able to photograph Laura and Kelsey, both individually and together and I got the opportunity to photograph the girls with their Mum too!

When photographing babies, I don’t like to style them with props or in baskets or anything like that! But I do encourage families to bring items which might have special meaning! I’ve photographed many teddies in my time! The blanket in the images was hand knitted by Kyra’s mum for Mason so it has a really special meaning to the family, and worked in really well with the pinks and blue tones everyone was wearing
